Cortex Oy, founded in 1960, is a Finnish family business providing solutions for the packaging and bakery industry.
The name of the company was chosen from the Latin word ”cortex”, which means the cerebral cortex that protects the brain. The choice of name indicates that we help our customers protect their products during transport from the factory to the consumer. We are part of the KTA-Cortex group.

We are constantly developing our operating methods and product selection in order to be able to meet the changing needs of our customers. Our product selection consists of products from the world’s leading manufacturers.
We are where our customers are. That’s why our sales network and service cover the whole of Finland. Our headquarters and warehouse are located in Espoo.
Investments into our sales team expertise combined with the expertise of our maintenance personnel ensure that the commissioning of the machines goes smoothly and that production interruptions can be minimized
Environmental friendliness
Environmental friendliness guides our small and large choices. The solutions we offer meet the requirements of sustainable development. We are committed to a joint agreement between the Ministry of the Environment and the packaging industry, which aims at the efficient utilization of packaging and materials.
Packaging waste can only be reused if it is sorted correctly. We make sure that the packaging waste generated in our production is sorted correctly, and we also guide our customers on proper sorting. When waste is sorted properly, it can be used as a recycled material or in energy production.
